Description
Semi-soft, surface-ripened farmer’s cheese. The crust is pleated beige-orange and the dough is butter-colored, supple and creamy. Its buttery smell is strong and rustic. To taste, it has flavors of cream, hazelnuts, with a vegetal note. Lightly salty, it is the first specialty farm cheese produced by the Madelinots. Pied-De-Vent is made from whole milk from a single herd fed on the Îles de la Madeleine region. The cows are fed with the diversity of fodder from the Islands, “which gives the cheese all its typicality.
