Fontina Val d’Aosta DOP is a traditional, raw cow’s milk cheese from Italy’s Aosta Valley with a protected designation of origin (DOP). Known for its rich, complex flavor with notes of nuts, butter, and grass, it has a smooth texture and is an excellent melting cheese. The cheese’s unique taste comes from the Valdostana cows grazing on high-altitude pastures with wildflowers and herbs.
