Red Fife Whole Grain Artisan Loaf (825g)
Red Fife flour was popularized in Canada between 1860 and 1900 when Dave Fife started growing it in 1842. It was then forgotten during the modernization of wheat until 1988 when organic farmers started to grow the heritage grain again. Red Fife is a whole grain, milled with the bran, germ and endosperm making it more nutritious than common flours. The flour also boosts a full aroma and slight nuttiness, with a beautiful golden reddish colour crust.
